Your INBOUND Starter Pack: Everything You Need to Crush it Onsite

Your INBOUND Starter Pack: Everything You Need to Crush it Onsite

Remember that “back to school” excitement? That’s exactly the energy you should channel as you prepare for INBOUND. Whether you’re a first-timer or an INBOUND alum, packing the right gear can make all the difference in how you experience the event.

And we’re here to make sure you’re more than ready with our ultimate iNBOUND Starter Pack—a checklist to ensure you’re prepared, comfortable, and ready to take on everything INBOUND has to offer.

THE ESSENTIAL PACKING LIST

You’ll need a mix of the practical and the professional to stay organized, energized, and on point throughout the day. Here are some must-haves that will help you stay at the top of your game, from morning sessions to those evening networking events.

1. The Fits

INBOUND is all about blending business with a bit of fun, so think “business casual meets comfort.” You’ll be on your feet a lot, bouncing between sessions, networking, and maybe even hitting up some evening events. Pro tip: layers are your friend because the temperatures can change from being outside at Lawn on D to transitioning inside to some of the chillier rooms in the BCEC.

Don’t forget to pack comfy shoes (and maybe even an orange tracksuit—looking at you, Rob Jones).

2. Tech Essentials

Your tech gear is your lifeline at INBOUND. Make sure you’ve got everything you need to stay connected and capture all the brilliant insights you’ll be absorbing.

  • Laptop or Tablet: ideal for taking notes, tweeting those mic-drop quotes from speakers, and checking on work (just in case).
  • Portable Charger / Power Bank: Your devices are going to be in heavy use—don’t let them die on you! Take your chargers to one of our Power-Up Lounges where we’ll have plenty of outlets and coffee to power-up both you and your devices.

3. Notebook and Pen

Sure, you’ve got your laptop, but there’s something about jotting down a quick note or sketching out an idea the old school way that’s still invaluable. Plus, a well-placed branded notebook can be a great conversation starter. Keep your notebook handy during breaks—you never know when inspiration will strike.

Pro tip: pack an extra pen (or 20) for when they inevitably get lost in one of the many swag bags you’ll pick up along the way.

4. Reusable Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is key. There will be plenty of water stations throughout the BCEC so you can keep your bottle topped off without missing a beat.

Pro tip: choose a water bottle that’s easy to carry around all day or one with a carabiner to clip to your bag.

5. Healthy Snacks

You’ll be going from session to session, and while there are plenty of amazing lunch options (including some of Boston’s best food trucks!) and some surprise and delight snack moments throughout each day, it’s smart to have a stash in your bag just in case. Opt for ones that are easy to carry and won’t leave you in a post-snack slump (like granola bars, mixed nuts, and fruit).

Don’t have extra room in your suitcase? Head to The Snack Spot where you can purchase quick bites on the go (think chips and hummus, popcorn, bars, and more!).

6. Business Cards

Yes, we realize it’s 2024, but business cards still have their place! They’re perfect for quick exchanges when you’re networking between sessions.

Pro tip: If you prefer the digital route, simply klik your badge with another attendee to share contact information and access it at any time in the mobile app. Find more information on Klik exchanges here.

TECH TIPS AND RESOURCES

Staying organized and connected at INBOUND is crucial. Here’s how you can make it happen.

Download the INBOUND App: The INBOUND mobile app is your event command center. From your personalized schedule to venue maps and more, it’s all in the palm of your hand. You can even export sessions to your calendar so you’re always in the right place at the right time. Check out our Mobile App User Guide for more tips.

Join the Know-Before-You-Go Webinar: Your guide to attending INBOUND, join this 45 minute webinar on September 5 at 11 AM ET where we'll cover everything from badge pickup and registration, to navigating the mobile app, tips for getting around the BCEC, FAQs, and more. Webinar details will be shared with attendees via email!

Familiarize Yourself with the BCEC: Take a few minutes to look over the venue maps in the mobile app—the BCEC is expansive so we’d recommend getting a feel for the space so you know where key points of interest are (like Main Stage, breakout rooms, Power-Up lounges, and other crucial areas).

Follow INBOUND on Social Media: Keep a pulse on everything, everywhere, all at once including live announcements, session highlights, and more. Be part of the convo and use #INBOUND24 to connect with other attendees even before you arrive. Follow on LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Facebook.

READY, SET, INBOUND!
